The allegedly renovated hotel (Nov. 2016) is very old. The rooms were renovated in the typical Dutch way :-) The painting of the wall was done in a jiffy process, so that the ceiling moldings were simply partially painted over (not sensible) the bar just behind the chest of drawers simply stops :-) On the inside of the window is an elongated drop of paint (approx. 5cm x 0.5cm) that seems to have been left over from the renovation in 2016. This would be normal to remove with a blade in 5 seconds :-) The balconies are full of moss and dirt - Apparently never cleaned since 2016 or before !!!!! You don't want to sit here! The window panes are greasy and grubby - you could clean here too! For breakfast: the rolls were almost snow white, as if they had never been in the oven! (You can't actually offer that to anyone!) Scrambled eggs and bacon were cold (we came at 9:30 for breakfast, the hot plate was already out! The sausages were cheap! The access to the parking lot is adventurous. You really have to be careful here! Unfortunately I have seen these conditions and food quality in Holland many times, so I have lowered my expectations! Nothing will change - or will it?

This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations in terms of value for money. I was lucky enough to book at a very cheap price, which was an absolute steal considering the quality of my stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with comfortable beds that ensured a good night's sleep. I especially loved the small balcony in my room, offering a lovely spot to enjoy some fresh air. The hotel's location right in the centre of this charming town was another highlight, allowing easy access to all the sights and attractions of the beautiful Berk area. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always going out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay.
All was just as I expected, no complaints whatsoever.

The hotel was clean en there was plenty of parking space.
This hotel is not 4 stars but 2 or 3 stars but the price is reasonable. Breakfast is not worth 12,5 Euro.

With their price politics it was possible to get a high quality 4star room for 29€ - what is nearly nothing for the netherlands.
The room that was booked first was about 79€ - what is pretty much for an oldfashioned room, especially with the very expensive breakfast. It might have been a very good adress - in the 80s - but since then not mut maintainance has been done - so a lot of things are damaged, worn.

This hotel has everything I need for a pleasant stay - clean rooms, comfortable beds, and secure parking. The breakfast had a wide selection of hot and cold food, and the staff spoke fluent English. They were very helpful and provided recommendations on what to see in the area. The hotel is located right in the heart of town and is across from the bus stop.
